FTU Tut - Platinum Diva + Snags

*This tutorial is my own creation, from my own imagination.  Any similarities are completely coincidental!*

This tutorial was written in PSP9, but should be easily transferred to other versions!

I found a great FTU scrap kit from Scraps by Jessica called Platinum Club and decided to write up a tut to go with this fun kit!

Supplies:
Tube of choice.  I'm using the beautiful Paige tube by Alehandra Vanhek, which you can buy from PicsForDesign HERE.  Please do NOT use tubes without the proper licensing.

Kit of choice: I'm using Platinum Club from Scraps by Jessica.  You can pick this kit up HERE.  Be sure to leave her some love if you download it!

Mask of choice: I'm using Mask 25 from Millie's PSP Madness.  You can find the mask HERE.

Font of choice.  I'm using Arial for the copyright and Ether Cute Poison for the name.  You can find the font HERE.

Plugins:
Alien Skin Eye Candy 6 Text Selections: Perspective Shadow (not required)
Xero: Porcelain

Ready?  Let's get started!!

1.  In PSP open a new canvas, 650x650, transparent background.

2.  From the kit, copy PC_frame6 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 85%.  Image > Rotate > Free Rotate > Right > 20 > All Layers UNCHECKED.

3.  With the Magic Wand click inside the frame.  Selections > Modify > Expand > 5.

4.  Copy a paper of your choice from the kit (I used PC_paper9) and paste as a new layer on the canvas.  Move this layer under the frame.  Selections > Invert.  Click the DELETE key on your keyboard.

5.  From the kit, copy PC_ribbon2 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 35% and move towards the right hand side of the frame.

6.  From the kit, copy PC_ribbon1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 35%.  Image > Rotate > Free Rotate > Left > 70 > All Layers UNCHECKED.  Image > Flip.  Image > Mirror.  Place this on the right hand side of the frame.

7.  From the kit, copy PC_poshhandbag1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 60%.  Place at the lower right hand corner of the frame.

8. From the kit, copy PC_tag2 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 30%.  Image > Mirror.  To get the tag to look like it is hanging from the hand bag, use your eraser with these settings:

You'll want to only erase the part of the tag that is over the handbag handle:

I used the font Ether Cute Poison and typed out "Diva" and the Deform Tool to rotate Diva to line up with the tag.

9.  From the kit, copy PC_hookerheels1 (LOL Don't you just love the name of that element??) and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 30%.  Image > Mirror.  Place in front of the handbag.

10.  From the kit, copy PC_blingstars1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 35%.  Move to the upper right hand corner of the frame.  In your layers palette, right click and Duplicate.  Image > Mirror.  Image > Flip.  Place the duplicate on the lower left hand corner of the frame.

11.  Copy and paste your tube of choice on the canvas.  Resize as appropriate for your tube.

12.  Duplicate your tube.  On the original tube layer, apply Xero: Porcelain with the default settings.  On the duplicate tube, play with the layer Blend Mode to find one you like.  I used Luminance (Legacy).  Layers > Merge > Merge Down.

13.  From the kit, copy PC_frames1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 50%.  Move to the lower section of the frame/bottom of your tube.

14.  Using your Magic Wand, click inside each of the frames.  Selections > Modify > Expand > 2.

15.  Copy and paste a paper of your choice (I used PC_paper6) as a new layer on your canvas.  Selections > Invert.  On your keyboard, hit DELETE.

16.  With the layer that has PC_frames1 selected, again use your Magic Wand to click inside each of the top three frames.  Selections > Modify > Expand > 2.

17.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and align your tube how you would like it displaying in the frames (I did not resize my tube for this portion).  Selections > Invert.  On your keyboard, hit DELETE.  Adjust your layer Blend Mode for whichever effect you like best (I used the Screen setting).

18/  With the layer that has PC_frames1 selected, again use your Magic Wand to click inside each of the bottom two frames.  Selections > Modify > Expand > 2.

20.  From the kit, copy PC_lilplasticflower1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Move to the upper right hand section of the PC_frames1 layer.

21. From the kit, copy PC_lilplasticflower3 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 70%.  Move to the center of the PC_lilplasticflower1.

22. From the kit, copy PC_lilplasticflower2 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 50%.  Move to the center of the PC_lilplasticflower2.

23.  From the kit, copy PC_shades1 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 30%.  Image > Rotate > Free Rotate > Right > 20 > All Layers UNCHECKED.  Place to the bottom left hand side of the PC_frames1 layer.

24.  From the kit, copy PC_bow2 and paste as a new layer on your canvas.  Resize 25%.  Image > Rotate > Free Rotate > Left > 20 > All Layers UNCHECKED.  Place on the top, center of the PC_frames1.

25.  From the kit, copy and paste a paper of your choice (I used PC_paper6) as a new layer on your canvas.  Layers > Arrange > Send to bottom.  Apply the mask of your choice.  In your layer palette, right click on the mask layer > Merge > Merge Group.

26.  Apply a drop shadow of your choice to the frames and  elements.  I used a setting of 2, 2, 80, 7.98 with the color black.  For the tube, I used Alien Skin 6: Perspective Shadow:

If need be, resize your tag at this point.

Add your copyright and licensing information.

Ok, for the name, use the Eye Dropper to pick a color from either the kit or your tube.  I used #7a1616.  Using your font of choice, type out your name/saying.  Convert the layer to Raster.  Adjust > Add/Remove Noise with these settings:

Selections > Select All > Float > Defloat.

Selections > Modify > Expand > 2.

Add a new raster layer and move down under the font.

Floodfill with white and apply the same noise as before.

Apply drop shadow of your choice.

Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

Save your tag as a PNG and you're done!

I hope you enjoyed my tut and I'd love to see your results!!

Now time for those snags!!
