PTU Tutorial ~ Midnight Love + FREE Snags!
**This tutorial is my own creation, from my own imagination. Any similarities are completely coincidental!**
This tutorial was written in PSP9, but should easily transfer to other versions!
Supplies:
Kit: I'm using the amazingly versatile kit "Potions & Spells" by PinkParadox Productions. You can buy this kit HERE.
Tube: I'm using an Exclusive tube from PFD. You can check out all of their Exclusives HERE.
Mask: I'm using the fantastic mask of Rocked by Rachel, RR_MaskSet26_1. You can pick this mask up HERE.
Font: I'm using Arial for my copyright font and Midnight Moon for the names. You can pick this font up HERE.
Plugins:
Xero: Soft Mood
Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow and Glass
Ready? Let's get started!!
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells Frames (4). Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 60.
Paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Using Freehand Selections Tool, draw around outside of the
frame, like so:
From the kit, open Potions & Spells Papers (33). Shift + D to duplicate. Resize 50.
Paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Selections > invert > DELETE.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (25) [ghost]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize
25%. Apply a drop shadow of your
choice. I used 2,2, 80, 6, color BLACK.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (113) [Enter at own
risk sign]. Paste as a new layer on your
canvas. Resize 15%. Image
> Rotate > Right > 25 > All Layers UNCHECKED. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (116) [fireplace]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 25%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (131) [flames]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 13%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (69) [bookcase]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 30%.
Image > Mirror. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (37) [orange witch’s
dress]. Paste as a new layer on your
canvas. Resize 30%. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (65) [books]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 10%. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (66) [open book]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 20%. Image
> Rotate > Left > 25 > All Layers UNCHECKED. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (62) [jar of eyes]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 10%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (20) [owl]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 10%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (76) [herbs]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 15%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (60) [poison bottle]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize 10%. Apply
a drop shadow of your choice.
Copy and paste your tube of choice to the canvas as a new layer and resize it as needed. In the layer palette, right click on your tube and duplicate. On the original tube, apply Xero: Soft Mood with the default settings. On the duplicated tube, adjust the layer blend mode to an effect you desire. In my tag, I used the Blend Mode "Hue."
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (27) [skull]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize
15%. Apply a drop shadow of your
choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (57) [bottle with
frog]. Paste as a new layer on your
canvas. Resize 10%. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (61) [tipped over
bottle]. Paste as a new layer on your
canvas. Resize 15%. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (17) [cat]. Paste as a new layer on your canvas. Resize
20%. Apply a drop shadow of your
choice.
From the kit, copy Potions & Spells (63) [globe with
hand]. Paste as a new layer on your
canvas. Resize 8%. Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
From the kit, open Potions & Spells Papers (25). Shift + D to duplicate. Resize 65%.
Paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom.
Apply your mask of choice.
Layers > Merge > Merge Group.
Resize your tag at this point, if needed.
For the name, I used the font Midnight Moon, size 72, stroke width of 1.
Apply Eye Candy 4000: Glass with these settings:
Apply Eye Candy 4000: Gradient Glow with these settings:
Apply a drop shadow of your choice.
Add your copyright and license information.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible and save as a PNG.

Now, this kit is SO versatile, that I made a completely DIFFERENT set of snags using the SAME kit Potions & Spells by PinkParadox Productions and the amazing tube by Elias Chatzoudis.
